The Role: QA Development Engineer
As a system QA Development Engineer at hi5, you will be responsible for:
- Designing and refining test plans, and presenting test cases to project team.
- Implementing system test cases.
- Submitting, regressing, and verifying defects.

Our Content group is responsible for production of content that enables members to connect with friends and deepen the social networking experience. This is an opportunity for someone to come in and build out a content management team. As a content manager you will help us create the largest list of organizations in the world including schools and colleges, workplaces, and any other associations or groups through which people know each other. The content that the team produces will help drive user acquisition, growth of members' friends network and ultimately make the social experience more meaningful.
You will define priorities, set strategies for content acquisition and production, engage resources as needed to produce and launch content, and manage to service performance targets. Job Responsibilities
- Gather and produce lists of major institutions and associations including schools, colleges and workplaces worldwide
- Source lists from a variety of sources including public domain websites, government agencies and commercial list managers
- Research, evaluate and recommend external lists of institutions and associations
- Source content reviewers that speak local language and collaborate with them to define rules for content organization by market

About the Team
Do you have what it takes to deliver products in over 20 languages? How about 50? We are looking for a Translation Community Moderator who can play a central role in supporting the volunteer translation project for hi5's social networking application. hi5 will organize groups of volunteers to translate the site into thirty or more languages in the coming year. About the Position
Supporting and hi5's volunteer translation efforts for hi5's social networking application, interact with volunteer and professional translators, interact with OpenSocial developers and hi5's Localization, Quality Assurance, and Product Engineering teams.
As a Community Moderator at hi5, your activities will include supporting for hi5's volunteer teams for 30 or more languages, responding to volunteer's questions, recommending enhancements to the product, and some language and localization production work.
Job Responsibilities
Community Support hi5 Volunteer Translation Program - support the community of hi5 volunteer translators, respond to volunteer's questions on language and tools, coordinate feedback from groups and help identify product enhancements, respond to any abuse issues, etc.
Developer Support for hi5 Gadget Translations - hi5 has an application platform that supports all of its languages. This position provides logistical support to the developers in acquiring their translations from the volunteer language program.
Glossary Support for Applications - With the upcoming platform release, we'll be translating many new applications that require us to define terminology that ensures a consistent language experience across the site.
Language Maintenance - perform some of the manual duties required to maintain our languages from Lionbridge until we've delivered in-context review tools and automated support.
Coordinate Professional Reviews - be the point person for the off-site language reviewers we currently employ.
Requirements
- Experience moderating online communities, or providing online customer service, for an international web site with multiple languages
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
