About the Position

As IT Support Engineer at hi5, you will be responsible for desktop support and enterprise solutions (backups, printing, email) in a mixed environment of macs, windows laptops and desktops, and linux.

Although initially the support role  will be essential, ideally the ratio of responsibililties will be 70% project work and 30% support.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect, Engineer and maintain corporate business solutions. Systems Include: financial, antivirus, knowledge sharing, ticketing.
  • Manage VOIP system.
  • Build, modify, update PC and Mac images and ensure quality and stability of the builds.
  • Develop solutions to efficiently manage hundreds of desktops and laptops.
  • Install software, install and replace hardware.
  • Maintain and update software patches.
  • Troubleshoot printing issues.

Requirements:

  • Experience with Active Directory and Group Policies
  • Experience with Windows 2003 server, Exchange
  • Mac support experience (OS 10.3 and above)
  • Working knowledge of Linux – Autoyast a plus
  • Good understanding of web protocols.
  • A good understanding of the windows security model.
  • Experience with configuring local area networks
  • Experience or at least strong interest in VoIP
  • Work flexible shifts in the range from 8:30 am to 6:00pm.
