The Area : Operations

The operations organization is responsible for systems and network architecture, systems and network engineering, systems and network operations

The Role : Tools Developer

As a Tools developer at hi5, you will be responsible for developing script tools using open source products to automate routine tasks and to visualize performance data.

Responsibilities:

Develop tools and interfaces to automate routing systems administration tasks and to visualize performance and systems related data.
Provide for version control using perforce.

Requirements:

• Experience with developing systems administration tools with Perl and shell scripts. 
• Good understanding of XML and XML based protocols.. 
• Extensive experience with PHP or Perl CGI. 
• Experience with monitoring and systems administration tools like Cacti, cfenine, mrtg, nagios, bigbrother, smokeping. 
• Experience with data manipulation including database access via Perl.
  A good understanding of Linux.

Preferred:

• Systems administration experience in a large enterprise. 
• Experience programming in PHP. 
• "C" programming. 
• Apache, memcache, Postgres experience
