About the Team

The Ads and Payments Engineering team is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining hi5's suite of ad and payment products.

About the Position

As an Engineering Manager at hi5, you will work closely with the executive and product management teams to help plan and execute the payments and ad vision of hi5. To be successful in the role, the ideal candidate will have a passion for building consumer online services, be highly technical, and a hands-on leader with a proven track record.

Responsibilities:

• Build high-volume software primarily using Java
• Lead a technical team, drive projects to completion, and remove roadblocks to ensure on time delivery
• Design and implement development methodologies to improve operational performance

Requirements:

• 3+ years relevant experience managing fast-paced and dynamic engineering teams. 
• B.S. Computer Science or related field.
• Knowledge of Java and/or C++.
• Knowledge of XHTML, CSS, and Javascript.
• Knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
• Enthusiasm for solving difficult problems
• Passion for developing great user interfaces
• Interest in ad server technology and auction algorithms
