The Area: Data Analytics

The Data Analytics team is responsible for building the supporting infrastructure and tools to expose performance metrics and product business metrics. As a Lead Engineer in the Data Analytics group, you will be developing large scale systems to perform quantitative analysis on terabytes of data per day and building the reporting frameworks to expose that data. The ideal candidate will be driven with the challenge of developing components and systems that can track, process, and analyze large sets of data.

Responsibilities:

• Developing reusable tools for the management and manipulation of terabytes of data. 
• Constructing creative solutions for your analysis tasks. 
• Analyzing and improving efficiency, scalability, and stability of data collection, storage, and retrieval processes.

Requirements:

• Experience with quantitative analysis 
• Experience with software development 
• Extensive experience working with large data stores 
• Knowledge developing and debugging in Java or C/C++ on *nix 
• Educational background in Computer Science or Mathematics

Preferred:

• Previous experience building ETL systems. 
• Experience with filesystems, server architectures, and distributed systems.
